1.4.15 - New Sunbeam and New Calling

The first Sunday of the New Year brought many new firsts.
I got to begin teaching music in Primary.  This is how I spent the week before...planning and looking up websites and printing and laminating and just really getting really really excited about this!
The theme is I Know that My Savior Lives and the first song we are teaching also shares that title.
It went really well and I just hope I don't cry too much as I'm explaining the beautiful gospel through music.  It will be great!

Since I was in Primary I got a front row look at the Sunbeams.
Tyson was quite good and they were all ready to be there.
The transition seemed pretty seemless.
His teachers are this cute young adult Marti Keddington and another empty nester lady name Kelly Meyer.  Just a cute little class!

Liz's Young Women introduced the youth theme for the year which is "Oh Ye That Embark".  She is super excited about it and has wonderful leaders who have a positive influence on her.

This little boat was sailing in with a load of swedish fish and the mast has the icons for each of the themes for the months of 2015.
Pretty awesome!

Megan came home with her first CTR rings from her sweet teacher Sister Jane Flint.  She stopped by a few days ago to collect some basic information, to introduce herself and also bring her a giant CTR shield-shaped sugar cookie.  Darling.  She is in the baptism prep. class so we are gearing up for that this fall.

Hunter has a set of men teachers which I think he will really enjoy.  Bro. Castro and Bro. Fortin.  Liz had them last year.

Brandon was called a few hours before church and was told they gave him a new partner to teach Sunday school with since I was released after a year of teaching with him.  He continues with Course 16 and was given 10 new kids today along with the new guy Bro. Faerber.  They just moved in a short time ago so hopefully it will work out for him.  This is his third year in this callings.  His first group will be home from their missions this summer.
